The Vitruvian shuts itself off if it hasn't been in use for a period of time (I often stop to care for my infant). When this happens, I have to fully close the app, losing my workout progress, and turn the machine on and off twice before it will allow a successful re-connection. Takes forever. The workout will quit out when you hit the back arrow and does not save your place in the workout. Needs a bookmark. Subscription is ridiculously priced. I'd pay $10 tops

The app works really well, I enjoy using the Vitruvian a lot, and I've been very consistent for over a year now. The coached workouts are also very good, but I don't like how you're forced to keep pace, most of not all coached workouts pace through too quickly. I'd rather finish the amount of reps required and do them properly. I've just been making my own routines and it's very intuitive. Would definitely recommend.

Putting workout data behind a paywall is plain wrong. Insights you can charge for because that requires computing power. Simply recording the workout data to our phones? C'mon that's plain dumb to not do. What's the point of introducing Google Fit sync if Vitruvian won't even record any data to begin with. And to be clear, the machine *is actually saving the data* because it still requires you to "unlock" the wights. Vitruvian refuses to show it to you without a $50/m sub, GREEDY MONEY GRAB

At this point even the basic "just lift" mode is behind a paywall. Do not pay thousands of dollars for a home gym that makes you pay a monthly membership higher than a local McGym to use its most basic features. Oh and the 1-year warranty doesn't cover a "restocking fee," of course, so can't get all your money back if you realize its trash after the free months of membership expire (or even after trying it out on day one).

Very annoying that I must pay a subscription just to get sounds to play in the app. I build my own workouts and use nothing else the subscription provides. The machine is potentially dangerous without these audio cues.
