Must-have application for the Atari VCS system

Zero functionality... rebooted multiple times...verified that the VCS and my mobile phone are both using the same Wi-Fi network...not able to synch the Atari Companion to my Wi-Fi network. All I get is that it is searching for my VCS, even though the app clearly shows my Wi-Fi Network ID right on top and on the VCS, I have the same Wi-Fi network selected under Devices. I've read issues with a Samsung Galaxy tablet... I have a Galaxy S9+ mobile phone... Atari tech support was zero help.

Not working. It keeps saying searching for my VCS, and to make sure it's on the same Wi-Fi. It is on the same Wi-Fi. I've restarted and uninstalled the app. Can't get it to work.
