Ultimate Guitar: Chords & Tabs

★★★★★ I use this to help me listen along to songs to help me learn chords and how to hear them with my ears. I also like the lessons and have been using them to see chord shapes and to learn scales. Great little app. I found too especially with the "official" tabs you can click on the bottom left and there's a little tab that lets you turn down specific instruments, so I can hear JUST the rhythm guitar or JUST the lead. It makes it waaaay easier for me to actually understand the music.

★★☆☆☆ Very poor. Constant requests to upsell other offers. Signs you up for repeat subscriptions, gives 0 reminders. Difficult to remove the repeat subscription (load page as a desktop page) and the app logged me out and then says payment problems when I log back in, even though I've paid a year up front. It's removed all my downloaded tabs, despite again, me having paid 12 months in advance and 15 minutes later I'm still waiting for that to complete, with a progress bar literally going backwards...

★★☆☆☆ The website doesn't show the full tutorial to play songs and tells you to download the app to see the rest. Turns out it's a paid app, with a very short free trial. You will constantly get pop-ups to pay money, and the app crashed about 10 times in the first 5 minutes of using it. Terrible cash-grab, can't believe this is the number one search result for searching guitar tabs.
