Not intuitive at all. Before you get started, turn off auto connect on all other WiFis that are nearby that you can connect to. Then, follow the app steps for connecting. When you click on the dash came from the Wi-Fi selection, you need to select always connect, and then you have to hit the back arrow to go back to the app to finish connecting it. Once connected to it, you should be all set. You must manually toggle all Wi-Fi auto connects on and off when using the app moving forward though.

The Toyota integrated dash camera takes a long time to connect to Wi-Fi. Once it connects it only stays on for about two minutes at the most and then it disconnects. This is a horrible camera and the application is also horrible. After all of this, then you have to start all over trying to connect again. How can they charge $400+ when it doesn't even work. Toyota I want a refund on this camera. Bottom line, this camera and application system does not work

Connected the first time I used the app/cam. Have not been able to connect to the dashcam since. Wi-Fi is a terrible setup to connect to the dashcam. Wish I could hardwire to it. Anything would be better than a useless app/dashcam.
