This story had a lot of potential but didn't quite live up to expectations. Some characters' affection didn't seem to matter, while others seemed difficult to gain affection. The climax of the story didn't happen until almost the end, rather seeming like this 1st book was meant to just set up the background for the real action and adventure that might happen if there's a sequel. There are some spelling mistakes and some things that don't line up, but being a new story, I'm sure they'll fix it.

This story was written by someone who clearly has no clue about how medieval kingdoms work. Some of the character choices and certain parts in the later story feel so contrived and railroad that it takes away any incentive to replay the story. Anyway, some of the characters are ok and the writing isn't so terrible, but this was not worth the asking price. I've bought a lot of HG IFs this year and this was my biggest regret.

Bought on the choice store but can't trust the ratings there, it's just a prologue and the skills page ends up being unused, stats are inconsequential to the story.

Honestly this has the chance to be something more, but the author clearly didn't plan carefully enough, The concept is actually good but its missing world building and the plot is dumb, and your choices doesn't matter. Also, before you try to make a story about medieval world, try to research more about the medieval stuff, like author please. Pacing is a mess, ROs is boring, wouldn't recommend this "prologue" to anyone. It's a 3/10 compared to 9.5/10 Golden Rose. Disappointing.
