Tried the 7-day trial, and it's the first switching app I've used that works. Only had it 2 days and bought the full version. Very good instructions and walks you through all the phone settings you need to use to stop it being put to sleep and activating the location. Highly recommended

So far so good, seamless switching between different floors networks and bands, 5 or 2.4 GHz. I needed exactly this. It takes a little understanding of Wi-Fi / android settings but if you read carefully the instructions and go through all the steps, works like a charm. Key: You need to modify Android battery optimization options, so it stays running all the time, as instructions clearly say. I am on the trial, couldn't find anywhere for how long it lasts though... Will test a bit more than buy it.

Does not switch to stronger Wi-Fi network when connected to a weak one

Will not connect to some APs. I strictly followed instructions. It acted like it was connecting then failed with no explanation. Repeated forever. All this time I'm without any connection. I really wanted this to work.

LOCATION DATA REQUIRED TO WORK AT ALL, I was looking forward to what this application had to offer and the issues it would solve at home and work. But there's no reason location is required for this application to function.

The fact that this requires the gps to be left on defeats it's entire purpose. I want to switch to a stronger Wi-Fi signal to save battery, so of course I'm not going to want to leave my gps on which will use even more battery.
