Yes you have to pay for it (it's like 20 bucks) but once you do the experience is ad free, and the remote works amazingly! A word of caution you MUST have a physical remote to set this up the first time. Afterward, you're good to go.

I've been using this app for a couple of weeks now and have not had any negative issues with it, except the channels option... I can't figure out how to use it or what it's actually for. But besides that, streaming web videos is great with this app. I bought the pro version one time $15 purchase, and it is definitely worth it if you watch web videos because they are in HD, and they are very easy to watch. Also, the remote works decent but has a few ticks that need some work. I recommend trying it.

Terrible app. When you finally get past the Candy Crush ads (that even when you click the 'x' it still takes you to download it?! You find that you have to have the tv already linked to Wi-Fi to get the remote to find the tv. When you manually get the tv linked to Wi-Fi, it then finds it but not one single button does anything?? 20 mins of my life I won't get back
