Great App for listening to your Plex Music libraries!! I've been using it for a long time. It blows away other players. But as far as the comparison of using Plex app vs Plex Amp app, it is night and day. Only con would be the need to choose your source library from the settings menu. This can be cumbersome if you have your music libraries broken up into several different ones. Otherwise, it is just a much, much better music listening experience over the Plex app. Kudos to the staff at Plex!

I love the preamp app. I have had no issues connecting to my home server and can listen to my music collection anytime and anywhere.

Seems like a hot mess, but maybe it will grow on me. All I want to do is listen to my music by folder. I can watch my movies and find all my video media by folder with no trouble on Plex. Come on guys make this a little more intuitive there's way too much stuff in the interface here that doesn't seem very intuitive to me. What am I missing? Literally all I want to do is put on an album of my own choice and listen. Maybe I require some remedial training or something?

Pretty terrible features for a music app. For example - it lists any track in a compilation album as "various artist" so you can't filter or search by artist. You also can't filter on tracks by decade or year, only on albums. Again, useless for compilation albums. This makes the app fairly useless and not worth bothering with as you can't organize by artist only entire albums. Even Windows media player could do this 15 years ago! EDIT - This is something Emby can do so use Emby instead!

Music playback works fine on the main plex app but, although I can see my recently added music in preamp, playback in preamp does not work for me.
