The hearing "test" to tweak your personal eq is fairly straightforward and really works nicely. It's subtle, but effective. Not sure how cpu heavy the app is. But, it seems to work seamlessly. I'm using it for a pair of Marshall Monitor 2 headphones with ANC. I may start trying other headphones and car audio to test whether it is necessary to make separate profiles for each.

I never experienced this much sound clarity before. Simple user interface. Let me explain the usage. Step 1: make your customized equalizer. It is simple concept. The audio is ranged from lower frequencies to higher frequencies. It will ask you to adjust volume for each frequency ranges. Step 2: switch on this app. The audio coming out from our phone will be 'adjusted' for your ear. Will get crisp audio. Songs, speeches. BEWARE: U may not like it first as your experience conditioned with old norms

This is great because I'm hard of hearing. I literally use this app, every single day! However, if you could somehow add the option to edit the audio for singularly the left and right ears, it would actually help me out, immensely, as one ear is harder of hearing than the other. Other than that, it's been a great asset to my life.

This was a brilliant app. It really worked well adjusting the tonal profile for different speakers/ headphones. HOWEVER, it hasn't been updated since April 2016, and appears to be broken with Android 11 on my Galaxy S20 Ultra. Edit: started working again for a while - but now broken AGAIN! Sadly, uninstalled.

My problem when trying to calibrate at the beginning was that even with the volume turned all the way down to the absolute minimum, an annoying fuzzy frequency (separate from the frequency being tested) remained clearly audible. If this sound is always there in the background, that takes away from the practicality and efficiency of the application.
