Used this app for my future trip to Svalbard and it's a great help tobtracknthe northern lights.

Easy to use, its percentage of chance to see Aurora I find accurate. So when you run outside, remember it takes your eyes about 15 minutes to adapt to total darkness for best viewing when they are faint and near the horizon.

I get notifications but the app no longer calculates my chance of seeing an aurora, like it used to do so pretty much useless

Has failed to notify the past 2 times in last 45 days when Auroras were active here in Virginia. Instead, I have to see others Facebook posts and photos the morning after. Last night was a stunning display. And yes I had settings correct to notify me. The only time it has worked was back in April.

I'm from Alaska where I used to see the aurora all the time. I was informed that last night there would be a huge event that could be seen from my area and I became excited at the prospect of seeing the aurora. I checked this tool, and it said I had a zero to low chance of seeing them, so I did not look, but today I learned that they were indeed highly visible in my area, so I missed the only opportunity to see the aurora I have had since moving from Alaska. Huge disappointment.
