Not the greatest interface if I were to pick a gripe, but very functional. Allows me to control and configure my various Yamaha Music Cast devices throughout the house, and join them all to act as one whole-home system if needed. Using a 3rd-party app (Air Music) I'm able to cast over airplay or dlna from my android devices, I appreciate that that is more a function of the hardware, but combined with this app it gives great control using Plex amp or Tidal to deliver lossless music where I want it.

Ok... Why is everything 16-bit.?not Hi Res.? Limited UI with Amazon Music, Tidal apps through Music Cast app, can't look at playlist... must go back and forth between the Amazon, Tidal music apps to do things like go to an album of the artist that's playing in a playlist, look at the playlist quite a few things this is very annoying music cast is only good for volume... Other than that good to get away from a Google product (Chromecast)for once ...

It's clunky and glitchy with Amazon Music. I also experience issues with Roku. I love the overall idea of the App. I just wish it worked smoothly.

Works sometimes. When you need it work, good luck getting multiple devices to play nice together. I have 4 Yamaha amps, but nearly impossible to make it work together, at least that's what I find. If it does happen to work it's great. If you don't use it every week that's impossible. Make it for dummies, with some advanced options for those who use it all the time.

Can get connected with the receiver, either have to wait hours or not use the app at all. Please fix this issue. I'm using my galaxy s23 ultra. Shouldn't be having any problems. It gets annoying honestly. I just want to listen to music etc.

Can't log in to connect ID to link music cast to alexa. I've made 2 accounts and can't use Alexa with my AV receiver any other way. There's no way to link it and control my inputs with Alexa, so I'm returning this receiver and replacing with one that actually has working software. Yamaha is going downhill over the years. Really disappointed, but glad there's so many other and better options. ✌️ See ya never yamatrash.
