Learn Chinese Pronunciation (PinYin Chart) - mepro

★★★★★ I wish I had found this app when I first started learning Mandarin. I like the videos that show you mouth shape and tongue position. I didn't keep it because I am past this stage. I just downloaded it to check it out. I had one ad pop up. I don't know how often the ads appear. Also, it's a bit slow because it connects to their servers (I think), so videos take a few seconds to load. That was annoying, but that's because I am impatient. Also, not sure if there are in-app purchasing. Like I said, I didn't keep it long, but I like what I tried. All in all, great app for those who wish to improve their pronunciation.

★★★★★ I think its awesome. The interface is easy to use. I like the way it displays how the sounds are made as some sounds are back inside of your mouth. I like the way they illustrate it.

★★★★★ best pronunciation app. includes animations of tongue position for each sound, plus where to produce the sound. videos show the lip position. the UI is not pretty, but dont be fooled by this.

★★☆☆☆ they start you out with 5500 coins. You spend 1 coin every time you watch the girl say it and 2 coins every time you watch the tongue video. There apears to be no way to select tones. Once in the video section to get back to the chart press back and you exit and restart app-irritating. haven't tried the recording. When you click a consonant it apears to randomly select a vowel set to follow and immediatly play the video taking a coin. You can't select a consonant and vowel and play them together as the app apears to be designed. You can select a vowel set and it will play. If you hold a letter it will then play it (sound only) without taking any coins. If you hold a vowel set then it will play all the tones one after the other (no video-no charge). Top of screen always displays your wallet and coin purchase options. This app has the potential of 5 stars but they will have to get it to work first or at least give instructions so you can use it. I have played with it and use up abou 100 coins but still can't get it to play a starter with a finisher. I reduced it from 3 to 2 stars because I like what they are trying todo but it sofar only frustrates me.
