Works really well, I have a better question, is it possible to make the mic port of the headphone jack into a sensor for learning remote function or that feature is very limited/non-existent in terms of hardware?

The older IR Plus code scanner app was always by second favorite IR blaster app, from the Samsung Note phones to the LG V series phones, but now that IR blasters on flagship phones are basically gone, I resorted to buying one of those 3.5 mm IR blaster adapters (an LED that plugs into your headphone jack) and it came with a little label that said to use the ZaZa app. I tried that app, and it was a Chinese scam, refusing to function without your GPS location and other personal data. Their excuse for needing that info was that they would use it to recommend a list of TV brands and types from your region. Anyone who remembers the universal remotes of the 80s and 90s knows there is no sane reason to ask for that data and the list of brands for the entire planet is short enough to include in the app. Well, IR Plus maker came along and ported this app to a new "Wave" version, designed just for this use, and it worked. It worked fantastically. I need to let you know some of the speed bumps and hiccups I went through to get it to work, though, due to the cheap IR blaster I bought off ebay. It only worked when twisted in the headphone jack to a certain angle, because most of the male end of the jack was plastic, so you had to use a tiny white dot on the lens to align its metal region with the prongs in the female jack, or the sound of IR waves would come out of your phone speakers instead of the blaster. Just keep twisting until the sound stops and that got it working one out of 20 button presses. Why did it fail the other 19 out of 20? My phone came with an equalizer, acoustic modeling feature to make it sound like my music was playing in a room with good acoustics, and other features to hype up the sound. I needed to turn all of that fancy stuff off (LG G8X or really any LG with a headphone jack) to get the TV responding to every press of the power button. I hope this saves you time. In summary, this is the best of the remote apps that uses audio to control an IR blaster LED, and it even tells you how to build your own IR blaster, inside the app. Please patronize and buy or donate to this person. This app deserves it.

I honestly didn't know what I expected to happen. Apps like this (I've used like 4) don't work. But this one. The absolute worst of them.
