As couples of reviews were related to CG method, I have to confess that I use it for the same reason... But, it required some work, in preparation. The user has to delete all the initial ingredients from the app, and manually add those who consider inapropiate for the method: sulphates, silicones, mineral oil, waxes, drying alcohols. Then every time when is some doubt, the app can help you to decide: to buy or not to buy... I hope my comment will be helpful for you!

The app does not really highlights the list of banned chemicals that I have already included in my list. It hardly shows what I am allergic too. Hard to understand.

I was really excited when I saw how easy this was to use, as recently I have started following the curly girl method. But I was annoyed to learn that when I put it up to a label of ingredients it would list ones in red that weren't on the list of ingredients. This was very annoying as when I discovered this I had already used it on many shampoo brands that I now have to go back and look at to see wether or not they actually had those ingredients.

Good idea, database needs development. I liked that I could add my own list (cut & pasted from Amazon) but only a couple of ingredients found.
