I had a leaking kitchen sink repair. Heard about how awesome this app was and downloaded. I'm in Geelong by the way. Found a great plumber instantly and was able to access the company's licenses and insurance certificate before I finally hired the guys.

I had an i'T account created for me by a plumber without my permission and without any warning. I only found out when I received a notification SMS and email. I'm really unhappy that my details were shared with a third party like i'T when all I wanted was to get a bathroom sink unblocked. i'T now has my name, phone number and address, all in an account that I never agreed to and never saw any T&Cs for. The registration email said that a web version of i'T could be used, but logging into the website only redirected me to a page that prompted me to install a mobile app. There were no other options available. I reluctantly installed the app (which I think asks for too many permissions) because I didn't need the plumber anymore and I wanted to cancel the booking. But that functionality doesn't exist in the app, so it was useless. The voice guide was also really jarring and annoying. Worst of all, there's no option in the app or on the website to delete the account created for me. I can understand that tradies might want to use the app for booking and billing purposes, but customers like me shouldn't need an account or app just to get a bathroom drain unblocked.

I had to give 1 star to be able to write a review. Unlike the majority of the other reviews that give more stars and are written by their staff or those who have invested in the platform. I know this because I have had extensive dealings with i'T (the platform and the Owners/directors) and can review from experience that the platform does not live up to (by a long shot) the misleading claims they make. I would advise being very careful when using or dealing with i'T in any way
