Installed GROVE Sense successfully after several frustrating attempts due to cryptic or incorrect instructions. First instructions indicate to download the Indus app which is out of date. Second instructions show connecting a phone to the temporary GROVE Sense Wi-Fi as Step 3 followed by Step 4 which is reconnecting the phone to one's home Wi-Fi. This interrupts the setup process. Step 4 is done in the Sense App. When setup is done the Sense Wi-Fi will end and phone should auto connect to home Wi-Fi

Recently I lowered the rating but soon afterward the system started operating as designed. That was the only time I had any concern. The Grove Sense water security kit is an excellent product and has detected problems I've had in the past. I believe this product to be a benefit to any home as it can help avoid damage due to water leaking. It also monitors temperature and water pressure.

App recently overhauled. Completely useless. Set sprinkler mode, turn on sprinkler, Grove shuts off water twice in an hour. Sprinkler setting active til 11 pm. Turn off sprinkler mode, go to turn back on. No sprinkler setting saved. Have to log in to Grove EVERY time I have to open the app. And just like V1...cannot complete a firmware update, ever. Except now, it seems to beep all week because one is available. Insane.

This is a piece of garbage. It will not connect to my WI-FI. It keeps saying my phone is off-line, but it's not. I've restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the Grove app, and it still fails to connect. I'm ready to throw the thing in the trash!

Idea is good, and I like the analytics, but app is not stable at all. Grove sense keep on loosing connection with Guard about every 2 weeks, and it happens constantly with all of them. After leaks was detected (spilled water on a sense to test it) guard worked as expected and stopped water. After that I resumed water since there was no leak, but now I always got the red banner in it as a leak is still there

Pros: The customer support is actually somewhat decent, especially given the product they have to support. Cons: I hardly ever leave 1-star reviews. But this is one case where a 1-star is totally deserved. RUN, DO NOT WALK, RUN away from this product. People, there's a reason why it has such bad reviews! It's because this product has no business being on the market. The people who brought it to market clearly rushed it, without enough real world testing, and they clearly had an app development team that had no business developing an app that touches mission-critical systems like your home plumbing. (And I am qualified to judge -- I'm a very experienced software engineer myself, at an extremely well-known and well-regarded tech company.) Difficult and unclear to use. Spams you with endless notifications that your water usage is abnormal or too high, so you end up having to shut off the app's notifications on your phone. (Cry wolf, anyone?) Wastes time and screen space on extraneous information, like finding nearby installers or linking you to where to buy yet more products. Dear Grove: If you are reading this, I didn't post the above on a whim. I have been dealing with your product for well over a year now. If you want to do right by your customers, you will either completely overhaul the app and product (hopefully by a more competent app development group this time), and/or provide a return and refund process for customers like me. Thank you.
