gamescom - The Official Guide

★★★★★ great it's great after the last update, not only does it work now, it also let's you see the products and exhibitors as well as add them to favorites. it would be nice to have a 2d map, older and lower end smartphones are laggy and they can't handle such a 3d map. It also need at last an English translation.

★★★★★ really impressive app Note that most of the negative reviews are from 2012. This new version is a really nice application. It has an event calendar, a list of all exhibitors and a really gorgeous 3D map where you can locate said exhibitors in the huge Koelnmesse. You can tap on the different halls to get a detailed floor layout of each hall and info on where/what every booth contains. What is extra nice is that you can easily bookmark things from the event calendar and put them in your own calendar. My only complaint is that the application so far is 90% in English, but the descriptions of events and games are still in German. If they fix this (and I expect they will soon enough as the app has just launched), it is definitely worth 5 stars. Another plus is that all event data gets cached: You don't need an active internet connection to use the app, ideal for people from outside Germany.

★★☆☆☆ Absturz bei Favoriten, Standnamen zu klein Die Karte an sich ist immernoch etwas fummelig. Echt unglaublich wie die App nach mehreren Jahren immer noch nicht fertig ist.

★★☆☆☆ Crappy map Hauptsache 3D und animiert aber um wirklich was zu finden wäre sowas wie inhouse Google Maps einfacher. Dann hol ich mir lieber das Magazin und die Papierkarte.

★★☆☆☆ Not what I expected. I donwloaded this app because Gamescom Facebook recommended it, but they also showed pictures of a map. I can't find a map in here... besides, it's part english, part german.

★★☆☆☆ Worst event app I ever saw. UI/UX is a disaster. Lots of notifications per hour and you cannot disable them. Facebook login failed and I cannot retry. Opening app starts some video with sound. Giving one star for some actually relevant visitor information.
