Fossify Phone

★★★★★ A simple intuitive app without ads or bloat, that is private, fast and easy to use. Using with Ossify Contacts. Some annoying hiccups▫️Some contacts were repeatedly not named during incoming calls, and in call history (but were named in Messenger). Not sure if this was a problem with Phone or Contacts, but solved by deleting and manually rein putting contacts. ▫️"Show a call confirmation dialog" in settings is confusing as it appears to be overridden by the same setting in Ossify Contacts.

★★★★★ A great full-featured open source phone app with no ads & only minimal app-essential permissions. Ample customizing settings controls. Installation was a breeze & picked up my previous Simple Phone settings. Ossify Phone is an updated & "forked" version of the Simple Phone App which was sold off in late 2023 to a commercial owner (Google to read what happened).

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work correctly with Nothing2A phone. When a call cones in, the app is hidden.

★★☆☆☆ It kept telling me to set it as my default phone app and would pop up all my phone apps, so I could select it....every time I went to make a call. I made it my default app straight after downloading, so the app is just lost in a time loop I guess. 2 stars though for allowing lite customization. Uninstalling.

★★☆☆☆ it's too bad this app isn't allowed to ne set as the default dialer/phone app on Google pixel 8a. Tried wveey ave ao it's a no-go doe myself
