★★☆☆☆ At first I was so excited about Cool Flix because Forensic Files is one of my favorite TV shows, and apparently they have all 14 seasons available for streaming. I thought this service was like SnagFilms (hands down, my favorite source for indie and obscure films), therefore I was puzzled by the NO ADS premise. So, after adding a few things to my queue (the selection is AWFULLY limited), I was confronted with the fact that Cool Flix is actually a PAID SUBCRIPTION SERVICE that charges a $3.00 Dlls monthly fee for what?... one good TV show and about 50 movies (yes, 50 movies produced between 1998 and 2010) nobody has heard of?. You can't watch anything without a paid subscription, that has to be set up at their website in advance. This has to be the worst approach to acquire new paid subscribers, ever. I'm already paying for Netflix (that has a whole free month so you get to know their service) and HBO Go, and both have enough high quality content to warrant their asking price. Heck, even Crackle has a better content offering for FREE. Anyway, no wonder this app has less than 10 thousand downloads, because you'll feel cheated in less than a minute. Uninstalling right away.
