Not letting you try before subscription plan

I was using an older version on my previous phone and it worked great. I guess I had a free, but limited version. Just got a new phone and now the app wants a subscription fee. I am ok with that, but an app that takes a pic and reads text for $200. Are you kidding me?? In Android, I simply created a "Business Cards" album. When I take a pic of a business card I just crop it and save it on that Album. Easy, peazy and "freezy" I don't have all the features of the app, but it's perfect for me

Can't use the free trial without subscribing to a plan and giving them your credit card. I'm not sure they understand the point of a free trial. It's not supposed to be a trick where I have to jump through hoops to prevent you from taking my money. The point is to try your app for free. Hope this helps. Thanks for the response, however what you said is simply false. This is not a requirement of the Play Store. This is a requirement of how your company designed the app, using Google services.
