★★★★★ Not mentioned in the app, but you need to have gps and Bluetooth on before connecting. When it connects it's rather easy to use and fun addition to the train.

★★★★★ Connected to the locomotive easily! This app has alot of features, and you could customize the train alot! You can even controll the locomotive from your phone so you don't nead to use the buttons on the train! (you could use the buttons of you want to) this app is optional and you could just use the train without it, but the app adds more to the play experience! I really recommend this app to anyone who owns this locomotive!

★★☆☆☆ Second train I've had to buy as first was faulty. The second train straight out of the box will not connect with my Samsung phone. Looks like I've wasted my money. Wouldn't recommend Brio smart.

★★☆☆☆ Unfortunately, it's nothing but disappointment! The connection doesn't work at all: neither on the tablet nor on the phone (both Android). We’ve replaced the batteries, restarted the devices, and even reinstalled the app... Couldn't you have tested it properly and fixed the bugs?! I don’t even know where to give zero stars here. I'll do it if I could.
