Nice interface but my major problem with it is that it requires you to have gps enabled to connect over Bluetooth. The claim is that this is required by android, I am skeptical of this as I have many android apps that rely on Bluetooth that do not require gps. It's not a matter of privacy but of annoyance, I never leave gps on, so it's one more menu I have to go through to take a gravity reading. Updating review to 1 star for needing to pay for subscription service for more than a few beers, booo!

New update still does not fix the problem. I have tried your solution, but I am not running Samsung. Still doesn't work. I have tried 5 different devices, running different Android versions, a friend's old tablet running Android 5 connects, but you have to measure 4 or 5 times till it gives you a value. Neither does u-brew connect, nor the old legacy easy dens app. Therefore, my device is unusable. I want my money back as the package of device and app no longer works because of anton paar not me.

For the high price you pay for the hardware and the target audience for the Easy Dens the subscription is a joke. C'mon guys, it's not a mobile game it's brewing equipment.

Can take measurements but graphing for a batch becomes totally broken when doing a few measurements and then selecting the OG. No way to then undo it and get the graph working again. Did nobody test this before they released it? Edit: After spending thousands of rand to buy the Saddens you are now planning to charge me R450 per year to use the app? Utterly disappointing... Edit: now months later the new app can't even connect. What a joke
