I used the service today for the first time (registered with a Japanese phone number), and everything worked just fine: registering an IC card, unlocking, etc. The real-time data on the bike availability and battery levels was correct.

App very easy to use. Was lucky it has English localization. Only problem is that despite saying you can use foreign (non-Japanese) phone number, there is a server error when doing so. Was very fortunate to have met a 7-11 employee that let me borrow their number for the one-time 2FA authentication needed for account setup. App tells you how many bikes are available at each station, and how many spaces left. Yes, you will be rushing to return bikes every 30 minutes, but can immediately reuse?

The app won't reissue my password, so I'm locked out. It won't let me create a new account either. It would be very helpful if it remembered passwords like other apps do.

It was supposed to be convenient, but it turned to a nightmare. If you rent the bicycle and bicycle is out of battery is your responsibility to take the bicycle to the port. If you lock the bicycle, and you can't unlock same thing you have to push the bicycle to the port nearby. Or also you can leave the bicycle and pay 5,500yen to someone collect the bicycle. I'll near rent this again, wasted time and money.
